Kayla Lyons is an associate attorney at Antommaria Ilevska Elder, LLC. She is a passionate and zealous advocate with a trauma informed background.

Kayla received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She relocated to the west to attend law school at University of Wyoming College of Law and never looked back.

While in law school, Kayla gained valuable legal experience by working as the student director of the Family & Child Legal Advocacy Clinic. Here, Kayla was able to represent clients at or below 200% of the poverty line in a wide variety of cases. She took on Family Law cases such as divorce, child custody, adoption, and guardian ad litem appointments. Many of these cases involved domestic violence and/or high conflict. Also during law school, Kayla engaged in a 40-hour mediation training.

Prior to law school, Kayla was a foster care specialist. In this role, she was able to advocate for the needs of children and connect families to valuable community resources. Kayla was often a witness in these cases, which were reviewed every 90 days for each family. This allows Kayla the ability to relate to clients as they may have to testify in their family court proceeding.

Kayla is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and the Weld County Bar Association where she plans to sit on the board.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys hiking, reading romance novels, and playing with her sweet Australian retriever, Myla.
